As a huge film buff and a soon to be West Hollywood-convert, I can rightfully say that Grce's A Boy and His Hand is a gem of a short film. It's subtle and silent humor is what makes this short so wonderful. It isn't until the last two or three minutes that the viewer realizes the clever hidden message of the boy and his "hand." The music as well as the few props were so appropriately and perfectly picked for this black and white film. Not only the director, writer, and producer, Grce stars as the boy and does a "Thumbs Up!" job, as Ebert and Roper would say. For those that are lucky enough to know Grce, this short film is a perfect reflection of his personality: clever, sweet, humorous, creative and one of a kind.
