  • Sequel to _Komm, süßer Tod (2000)_. Both movies are based on a series of crime novels by Wolf Haas starring the detective figure of Simon Brenner. They are quite popular in Austria (and, to some extent, in Germany).

  • In one scene Brenner puts some empty beer boxes in piles to escape a cellar. Stiegl-beer is produced in Salzburg, where the movie is set, and its company logo are red stairs, which look just like the stairs Brenner builds out of the boxes.

  • Cameo du metteur en scène: [Wolfgang Murnberger] one of the musicians singing a gospel in front of the train station.
