Plot Summary

In 1936, when French workers finally earn the right to paid vacations, the "proletariat" discover for the first time in their lives the pleasure, adventures and other aspects of the annual seaside summer holiday. Mado (Nadine Marcovici) and her best friend Gaby (Clotilde Courau) decide to take advantage of this, leaving their husband (Mado) / boyfriend (Gaby) behind - at least temporarily. By the sea, they meet new people, including handsome men. Gaby meets Constant (Guillaume Cramoeisan), a young photographer. Though both women's lives are forever altered during the holiday, Gaby's new acquaintance will dramatically change the course of her life, in particular. Written by argentino de rio
