sand, surf, guns, sand, dog, sand, sand and sand....

Another Heinrich Dahms classic. a modern take on west side story - but with dudes who surf.... on sand - because its in the desert... swish. The strength of the film lies not in the subtle plot but with the characters and their complex personal issues, such as sand, dogs, wife bashing, dogs in sand, and not forgetting wife bashing - in sand. The film is a pastiche of so many great films. Its a true film in that it keeps your interest from the intro too final credits. Surf, action, humour, sex, car chases, dogs, fights, and the magic ingredient 'SAND' I have never in my life been so moved by a film, after 37minutes of viewing i felt the need too pause the film and reflect upon my life... and sand. this film is not to be missed. I await Dune Surfer 2 with baited breath.
