The Blood God, or: How to Completely Ruin the Ending of an Otherwise Great Film, 28 août 2009

First off, I wish to thank everyone who deserves even a smidgen of recognition as having a hand in taking this version of La Magra out of Blade. This has the four interviewees(including Goyer, who wrote all three films, directed the third(OK, that might not be something one wants at the very *top* of one's resume, considering the quality of it) and create as well as executive produce the series(ironically, he mentions both sequels and a television show as possible ways to expand the franchise)) talking about the (thankfully abandoned) initial idea for how to close the movie; the concept itself is fairly silly. I could describe it myself, but it's something that should almost be experienced by each individual audience member(this is on the DVD). After describing it and talking about why it really, really didn't work, this also shows us the atrocity that was the last bit of the flick as it was conceived(in a relatively close to completed state, with the effects as finished as they were at the time), leaving absolutely no doubt as to why it was cut and replaced with the awesomeness that it does now. I recommend this to anyone who wishes to satisfy their curiosity, and some might also find the contents of this somewhat amusing. 5/10
