• Révélant des erreurs: For a split second when Casanova jumps from one building to another you can see the harness.
  
  
• Révélant des erreurs: When Francesca Bruni jumps from the gallows to the horse, the stunt double is wearing a black wig, but Francesca's hair is auburn brown.
  
  
• Erreurs factuelles: The "university auditorium" where Casanova first sees Francesca Bruni is not a building in Venice, but the Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza, a town approx. 45 minutes west of Venice.
  
  

• Anachronismes: The flight with the balloon is an (minor) anachronism. The first manned hot air balloon (manufactured by the Montgolfier brothers) made it's first flight in 1783, when Casanova was 58 years old.
  
  
• Anachronismes: In one long shot of Venice at sunset, the viewer can clearly see contrails in the sky caused by passing jet planes.

• Continuité: SPOILER: During the duel, right before it is revealed that Francesca is, in fact, fighting in her brother's place, she goes from hat on, to hat fallen off, to hat back on within the space of a second.
