Continuité: Throughout the original "The Return of the Living Dead" trilogy, shooting zombies in the head did NOT kill them. That was a key plot point. Yet in this film, it seems to work.

What happened Peter Coyote?

Coyote used to be a respected actor. He does a lot of voice over stuff too, including the Academies, but I think after participating in this film, he will be banned from that gig.

Besides any actual acting skills in this film, Coyote delivers every line with this idiotic grin on his face. Talk about someone just doing the gig for the money.

In this terrible, terrible film, a bunch of "high school kids" try to get their friend out of the company that has "kidnapped" him for their zombie experiments. With a plot that makes a Scooby Doo cartoon look like Shakespeare, and acting not even worthy of a your 7 year old neighbor's homemade video movie, this film as almost as bad as other awful zombie films like "The Dead Hate the Living" and "House of the Dead," only it seems to think it's better.

Almost every scene defies logic in either action or dialog; you could literally sit there with a pen and pad and write out why each scene is bad. There is no logic to anything in this movie and worst off all, it doesn't even follow the "rules" established by the preceding films: zombies must be shot in the head to die (they don't have to be in this film), zombies don't have the ability to act like normal humans (they do in this film, so what makes them a zombie?) and zombies can't have karate fights (they do in this film, totally forgetting their one function is to eat human flesh). The other films had humor in them (at least the first two did) and this film isn't remotely funny because the writer has no business writing a script for a 30 second infomercial, let alone an actual film. They even blatantly rip off a line from one of the other films ("Send more cops" this time as "send more security guards") which makes absolutely no sense in the context of the scene. The uneducated buffoon who wrote the script apparently thought it would be funny and it's not.

The "I'm going to shoot that zombie...oops I have no more ammo" thing was done over and over and over. They had to have been making this up as they went along. The funniest thing I thought was how easy we see the Scooby kids get into the complex, how they're eventually even given a tour of the place, then all of a sudden when the zombies are released, a couple of security guards that must have been hiding in the rafters, fall out of no where to be devoured by the zombies.

What's more baffling is looking at some of the credits of the actors; I just can't believe these people are getting other work. They're all so amazingly awful, it's astonishing. And what's even more baffling than that is I see they made another sequel with the same cast! It would be like a sequel to "Manos: hands of Fate." There's no reason for it.

My only hope is that enough people vote here and lower the rating of this film to knock it into the bottom 100. That's always good to see for the films that deserve it, like this one.
