This so called thriller is alright as far as the murder and mystery part is considered but fails to become nail-biting as the suspense and storytelling is mediocre and placid..somehow the mood of a thriller is missing. But it is worth seeing just for how Anil ( Amol) kills Vijayendra and Daver( Kader Khan) starts blackmailing him.. The climax supposed to be a shocking one comes off as a tame one with a usual dis-hum dis-hum and thus leaves one a little disappointed. Zarina Wahab making up the third part of this earlier Chitchor star cast, is adequate as Amol's wife.Nothing to mention about music score... Director Esmayeel Shroff's maiden attempt..OK for a lazy afternoon...

Good mystery film with same cast of Chitchor
silvan-desouza4 November 2014
Warning: Spoilers
Chitchor(1976) was a big hit which introduced Vijayendra Ghatge to films, in the next year the same cast of the film was repeated in this film by a different director. The film is more of a murder mystery however, it starts off well with Amol Palekar playing a businessmen and he is married to Zarina Wahab, Vijayendra plays a commonman, ironically in Chitchor there had opposite characters. The film slowly becomes a murder mystery, and gets interesting slowly and steadily. The film does have it's commercial ingredients tacked in, with a filmy climax yet it's well handled
Direction is good by Esmayeel Shroff Music is decent
Amol Palekar underplays his part superbly, Zarina Wahab is good, Vijayendra Ghatge is superb in a smaller role, Kader Khan is brilliant as always, rest are all good
