At the age of forty, François Durrieux has everything a man needs in his life to call himself happy: an affectionate family, a lovely offspring, a good job, and of course, loyal friends. Nevertheless, life can be totally unpredictable, and when one day a shocking event takes place in his firm, this once compliant and committed employee will lose the ground under his feet and revolt, questioning the very principles that kept under control for so long his simple life. In the end, François utterly disheartened, will he find the courage to wake up and refuse to accept the suffering of what he now considers to be intolerable?
