Confusion
boblipton11 November 2023
Horses enter the water, advance a bit while large hounds bark at them, then return to the land. There are ducks in the way! Men on the opposite shore wave their hats at the ducks, trying to shoo them away.

It's one of the Lumiere films shot by Gabriel Veyre, one of their company who carried their products around the world, offering shows of the exciting new scientific device and the large world it offered for view. In between shows, Veyre would take pictures of local goings-on that he thought audiences would like to see. Although some of his movies have some anthropological interest, many of them seem random. This falls into the second category.
