The late, great Paul Reubens completely changed the landscape of comedy with his character of Pee-wee Herman, becoming one of the handful of celebrities like Jim "Ernest P. Worrell" Varney, Cassandra "Elvira" Peterson, and Glenn "Divine" Milstead who become synonymous with their most famous roles. Honestly, there were probably a lot of people who learned of his passing at the same time they learned his actual name. Don't get me wrong, Pee-wee Herman is one of the greatest and most influential characters ever shown on screen and his hopeful embrace of the weird and creative has certainly made the world a better place. But Reubens was so much more than Pee-wee Herman and brought a number of other hilarious roles to life.

A new year is just around the corner and as folks start getting ready to say goodbye to the nightmare that was 2020, it’s time to look ahead at all the great movies and TV shows coming down the pipeline to keep us entertained over the next 12 months.
Hopes are high that things will begin to return to normal again and productions will be able to run smoother, meaning less delays and setbacks. And with 2021 absolutely packed with new releases right now, there’s more than enough to get excited about no matter where your interests lie.
But aside from just what’s coming to theaters and airing on television, we’ve also got all the streaming services still offering up a bevy of fresh content every month and January is no different. Indeed, the first few weeks of the new year will see Netflix, Disney Plus, HBO Max, Hulu...

The first of the month is typically when the variety of streaming services on offer bolster their respective libraries with a mixture of original and pre-existing content, freshening things up for subscribers in the process. January 1st also happens to be the first day of 2021, though, so people might be expecting a little more than just a handful of new additions, and HBO Max are stepping up to the plate in a big way.
Of course, Wonder Woman 1984 is set to entice millions to sign up for Warner Bros.’ platform, especially when the entire slate of theatrical releases are also heading to the streaming site on the same day that they hit the big screen. And keen to capitalize on the inevitable influx of new customers, HBO Max is adding a massive amount of film and television titles on January 1st, with the onslaught set to continue over the next 30 days.

Another space-centered comedy is coming soon to your television. Just a few months after the premiere of Netflix’s “Space Force,” Showtime this fall will launch “Moonbase 8,” a comedy about three subpar astronauts living at NASA’s Moon Base Simulator with high hopes of being chosen to travel to the moon. Check out the first teaser for the show below. The footage release is tied to the anniversary of JFK’s legendary “We Choose to Go to the Moon” speech, which plays over the teaser.

Chicago – To paraphrase what used to be said of Frank Sinatra, “It’s Jeff Goldblum’s world, we only live in it.” The wacky, quirky veteran actor is experiencing a major career renaissance, which includes “The World According to Jeff Goldblum” on the new streaming service, Disney+, available beginning on the first day of its launch, November 12th, 2019.
Through the prism of Jeff Goldblum’s always inquisitive and highly entertaining mind, nothing is as it seems for his world in the series. Each episode is centered around something we all love — like sneakers or ice cream — as Jeff pulls the thread on these deceptively familiar objects and unravels a wonderful world of astonishing connections, fascinating science and history, amazing people, and a whole lot of surprising big ideas and insights.

No, it’s not Greta Gerwig’s next film project, but it could be just as transformative for the film industry. Tim Heidecker, one of the brilliantly silly minds behind “Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!”, is coming out with a new political mockumentary just in time for the 2020 election. “Mister America,” which just released an intriguing first trailer, follows the comedian as he campaigns for San Bernardino District Attorney. Written by Heidecker along with director Eric Notarnicola and Gregg Turkington, “Mister America” looks like just the thing to help you through election fatigue.
The official synopsis reads: “A freshman filmmaker follows Tim Heidecker during the final month of his campaign for district attorney. What begins as a profile of an outsider candidate facing an uphill battle evolves into a study of toxic delusion as Tim’s motivations and controversial past begin to unravel his candidacy. Taking on a...

The reviews are in, and Us officially lives up to the hype. In fact, Jordan Peele's new horror film, starring Winston Duke, Lupita Nyong'o, Elisabeth Moss, and Tim Heidecker, currently has a 94 percent on Rotten Tomatoes. Now that we've invested in a ginormous nightlight (a floor lamp from Target that we plan to leave on at all times), we've been doing a deep dive on our new favorite horror cast ensemble. We knew Heidecker, the actor who plays Josh Tyler/Tex, looked familiar, but when we realized we knew him as one half of Tim & Eric, we couldn't believe it. It turns out the actor-writer-comedian-director-musician is quite the chameleon, and his past work speaks for itself.
Heidecker got his start when he teamed up with Eric Wareheim to create, write, and star in the animated series Tom Goes to the Mayor, which aired on Adult Swim from 2004 to 2006. The...

Tim Heidecker has had a career full of oddities. An alt comedian if there every was one, Heidecker’s partnership with fellow comedian Eric Warheim resulted in both Tom Goes to The Mayor and Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!—shows whose unique brand of surreal, often grotesque humor viewers either loved unconditionally or hated intently. As an actor, Heidecker has most recently appeared as a guest star on shows like Bob’s Burgers, Workaholics and Eastbound & Down, as well as starring in indie feature The Comedy, a film whose dreary and abrasive sentiments guaranteed the only funny joke was its...

Comedy duo Tim and Eric have garnered quite a cult following with their previous shows on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim, “Tom Goes to the Mayor” and especially “Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!” Now the two are poised to dominate the world of film with their absurdly funny Tim and Eric’s Billion Dollar Movie, which features appearances from Will Ferrell, John C. Reilly, Zach Galifianakis, and Will Forte.
In the film, Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim play versions of themselves as failed Hollywood directors who take over a mall in hopes of repaying bloodthirsty movie executives.
Though one might expect them to be particularly animated during an interview, they were fairly laid back when I talked to them. Despite their soft-spoken nature, they did seem to take turns periodically amusing themselves during this interview, as you’ll read below.

Chicago – The midnight movie show, popularized by “Rocky Horror,” always needs new candidates. The raunchy, hit-and-miss “Tim and Eric’s Billion Dollar Movie” is fresh midnight meat, stamped with “love” from Tim Heidecker and Eric Warheim of Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim (”Tom Goes to the Mayor”).
Rating: 3.0/5.0
The pacing, narrative – if it can be called that – and literal stabs at humor are awkward and stupefying, but it is so freaking bizarre and so anti-everything that it succeeds at a level that only Tim and Eric, and possibly you, can understand. This makes it perfect midnight movie fare, mind altering and luscious at that magical hour, with hangover inducing shame to follow. There are parts of the movie that are simply either too stupid or too extreme to digest, and there are parts that are funny in a way that is psychologically invasive. The good news is that no one...

It’s still early in the year but I sure hope I don’t see a worse film in 2012 than the new anti-comedy Tim And Eric’S Billion Dollar Movie. Not since Tom Green has a supposed funnyman (or in this case, funnymen) been so self-indulgently persistent in testing a moviegoer’s patience. The film, which makes last year’s Bucky Larson Born To Be A Star look like Oscar bait, opens with a poorly made commercial spoof featuring Jeff Goldblum as Chef Goldblum hawking theater seats which inject users with drugs. I wish my seat would have injected me with something to put me to sleep so I wouldn’t have suffered through the rest of this movie. The “plot”, such as it is, of Tim And Eric’S Billion Dollar Movie begins with Tim and Eric having been given a billion dollars by shady studio exec Tommy Schlaaang...

The psychotic billionaire who funded it wants his money back … in blood. The movie features guest cameos from Zach Galifianakis, John C. Reilly, Will Forte and Will Ferrell.

Chicago – Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim already have conquered the realm of the TV cult show. They broke through with the Cartoon Network Adult Swim Classic, “Tom Goes to the Mayor,” and their unique brand of surreal humor is now on the big screen with “Tim and Eric’s Billion Dollar Movie.”
The comic duo met while both attending Temple University in Philadelphia, and went on to create the bizarre “Tom Goes to the Mayor,” which Cartoon Network picked up in 2004 after comedian Bob Odenkirk (”Mr Show”) helped produce it. They went on to create the “Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!” in 2007, which featured interaction with some of the supporting players in their new film, including Zach Galifinakis, Will Forte, John C. Reilly and Will Ferrell.

If you’re reading this review, then I’m going to assume that you’re already familiar with Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim, the talent behind shows like Tom Goes To The Mayor and Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! With each iteration of entertainment they’ve produced, it seems like things get more off the wall and strange, and Tim and Eric’s Billion Dollar Movie is no different. It steps across every boundary you can imagine, and then some. The premise behind the film is that Tim and Eric have been given a billion dollars by the Schlaaang Corporation to make a movie, and the film opens with a screening of that film, which is only three minutes long and stars a Johnny Depp impostor (they thought they had hired the real Depp) as Diamond Jim and sporting a suit made entirely out of real diamonds. Between that and the makeovers they gave themselves...

With Tim and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie on the way, I feel there will now be three camps in the Tim and Eric debate. In the ongoing Tim and Eric debate you have two camps, "Pep-pep's" and misguided Chippies who don't like Tim and Eric. This articles for the Pep-pep's to give to their misguided Chippies to potentially (although not likely as they are closed minded) sway their opinion on perhaps one of the greatest comedy duo's of our time. So let's start with...............(cough).........................................
Cinco!
Cinco products celebrate all that is great about those cheesy nostalgic late night commercials on the television. The offers are too good to be true, the products are often nonsensical and have no practical use, and buying them only makes you a worse individual....so yeah it's pretty much like the real commercials. By the way that's an Apple III in the video there.

(Trailer is Nsfw due to sex doll humping, coarse language, and cutting off fingers of elderly women, among other things.)
You know what's cooler than a million dollar movie? A billion dollar movie.
After the first teaser trailer for "Tim and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie" was released on Wednesday, we could barely wait for the full-length trailer. Thankfully, we only had to wait two days to get a red-band trailer and see the first look at of footage from the movie.
And based on the trailer, this looks like it very well may be one of the most bizarre and unique comedies ever made.
"Billion Dollar Movie" is the first movie from Tim and Eric as a team -- the pair have appeared in other films individually, such as Heidecker's mostly-silent turn as the groom in "Bridesmaids." But this movie is their first feature film after working on television for...

When Bob Odenkirk discovered Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim, he asked the two budding comedians what comedy scene they were a part of. Their answer: none. This wasn't a boast on their part—it was the absolute truth. The Philadelphia natives developed their comedy on their own, creating their own strange world of awkward edits, strange characters and so-disturbing-it's-funny skits.
Even today, seven years after the debut of their Adult Swim animated series, Tom Goes to the Mayor, the duo is still in a league of their own. After they stepped in front of the camera, for their live-action series Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!, Tim and Eric quickly became cult-heroes and alt-comedy icons—titles they still hold to this day.
To hold you over until the release of Tim and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie, we've selected the best bits from Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!

The alt-Cartoon Network for grownups, Adult Swim, has made some great purchases over the last few years, and this one's a doozy; they've snagged a pilot by Bob Odenkirk, legendary half-creator of Mr. Show with Bob And David, a surreal "parody" show that ran on HBO for four seasons in the '90s.
Pre-Mr. Show, Odenkirk was a writer for SNL and The Ben Stiller Show. He hasn't slowed down since Mr. Show either, having lent a hand to Tim & Eric Awesome Show Great Job, Tom Goes To The Mayor and a regular stint on Breaking Bad. However, this pilot, Regal Productions, is his first foray back into series-creating since Mr. Show.

Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim -- the loons behind The Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! -- only just announced [1] that they had written and were beginning to direct their first feature film, Tim and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie. The picture reportedly features the talents of Zach Galifianakis, Will Ferrell, John C. Reilly, Robert Loggia, Jeff Goldblum, Will Forte and William Atherton. Now the film already has a distributor, as Magnolia has officially (confirming the report linked above) come aboard to put this most expensive movie project in front of the eyeballs of willing suckers everywhere. In a press release (via IndieWire [2]) all involved parties really have a go at defending the billion-dollar price tag of the movie, which is really, honestly and truly what the film is going to cost. Totally. Will Ferrell said, You can’t put a price on creative excellence and we didn’t… maybe we should have,...

Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim are a comedy duo that is…an “acquired taste” to say the least. There are some people who will swear up and down that Tom Goes to the Mayor is a work of pure genius, while others will watch Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! and recoil in horror at the insanity being brought before their eyes. They aren’t staying on the small-screen for much longer, as Tim and Eric’s Billion Dollar Movie has begun filming in Los Angeles, California. And now they’ve got a distributor chomping at the bit to show it to the world.
ComingSoon reports that Magnolia Pictures have acquired the rights to distribute the movie. Magnolia is one of the bigger independent distributors in the business, and responsible (mostly through their genre arm Magnet Releasing) for some of the more interesting films that have come out in...

Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim are a comedy duo little known outside of the United States. Beginning their collaboration’s on Tom Goes to the Mayor, an animated feature on the Cartoon Network that the station itself charitably describes as “polarising,” they went on to their better known live action sketch show, Tim and Eric, awesome show, great job, which satirizes the television format and genre in the broadest terms possible.
In spite of this, they are about to make their first feature length film as co-writers, co-directors and leading actors with the mildly threateningly titled Tim and Eric’s Billion Dollar Movie.
And although the duo have described the film as being on “a small scale” in Hollywood terms, the quality of the cast their debut movie has managed to attract suggests it is not a production without ambition. Thus far Zach Galifianakis, Will Ferrell, Robert Loggia, Jeff Goldblum,...

Somewhere between Red Planet and Adult Swim's Tom Goes to the Mayor lies Mars, the animated sci-fi love story from writer-director Geoff Marslett. Sometimes you can only judge a film by its own ambitions, and Mars is strangely unambitious. I say "strangely" because its unique visual style (like colorful rotoscoped photocopies) seems to promise something more than it delivers. The truth is that Marslett just wants to tell a funny, funky love story on a small scale.
Three astronauts are sent on a haphazard manned mission to Mars, in a photo-op attempt to beat a rival space program's robot to the surface. Brownsville (indie darling Mark Duplass), Cook (Zoe Simpson), and Morrison (Paul Gordon) are unlikely post-Generation X astronauts, biding their time on their trek to Mars by yakking away with a detached sarcasm that borders on precious. It's mumblecore in space, and If that sounds like your thing, then...
