Former talent manager Randi Siegel has joined the Fred Silverman Co. as executive in charge of alternative comedy programming for TV and digital media outlets.
Siegel will develop new projects for the company with an emphasis on material and concepts that fall outside of the traditional multicamera realm, both scripted and unscripted.
Siegel joins Silverman Co. after a stint with the nonprofit organization Comic Relief, where she handled special projects and marketing initiatives for the event's return last year in Las Vegas after a seven-year hiatus. Before Comic Relief, Siegel worked for National Lampoon as executive vp talent and development. For National Lampoon, she shepherded the animated series Tooned Up that ran on the company's Web properties and later was released on DVD.
Siegel also spent five years with Brillstein-Grey Entertainment, working on a range of projects and clients at the management-production outfit known for representing such comedy stars as Adam Sandler, David Spade and Rob Schneider.
