- When Narudom inherits a gothic castle from his deceased parents, he gets far more than a new place to live. In it he finds a book called "Immortal Life." By opening it, he inadvertently releases the ancient vampire Mekin, and now Narudom finds himself bringing new victims home every night to satisfy the vampire's thirst for blood. There are those who wish to put the dark creature's destruction to an end, however, and soon a young sorcerer will penetrate the castle walls in the hopes of doing just that.—Sahib Dino Jr.
- In a previous lifetime, Maekin was in love with Bonnie Rommanee, but Rommanee was in love with Witawat, Maekin's enemy, so Maekin ordered Rommanee to be disfigured. Hooks were attached the sides of her face, and her face was then ripped off. Not even Maekin's father could believe his son to be so cruel, so he ordered Maekin to be imprisoned for all eternity. For an immortal, that's a long time. Maekin couldn't take it, so he submerged himself into some green goop that allows him to sleep until summoned for his next incarnation...and he waits.
Modernday Thailand. Narudom [Kongkapun Sangsuriya] -- all-around Mister Nice-guy, owner of a nightclub, and the only heir of the Prachanart family -- has returned from college and is moving into the family homestead, Payamek Castle. He and his fiancee, Chotiros [Pornthip Wongkitjjanon], are being given a tour by the current gardener, Uncle Jim. After seeing the main floor, Narudom and Chotiros head down into the cellar, a rather dark and spooky place, crawling with spiderwebs, mice, cockroaches, snakes, and bats. They get locked in somehow, which totally freaks out Chotiros, but they are soon found when their friend Witawat [Ninnart Sinchai],Witawat's girlfriend Lorna [Pissara Umavijani], and Lorna's brother Nick come looking for them.
Later, as Narudom and his friends are having dinner, Witawat asks Narudom about the resurrection incantation that he got from a Tibetan lama. Narudom says that it's easy to read, now that he's made the translation from Tibetan to Thai. The only caveat is that it mustn't be read during a full moon. On the way home in their car, Nick shows Witawat and Lorna (who is really Rommanee) the Halloween mask he intends to wear to the party and says that it's made of human skin. Lorna goes ballistic, flashing on memories of herself being de-faced. A little later that evening, Narudom goes down to his club to check on things. When he returns home, he goes straight to bed, only to be awakened by a nightmare in which someone is begging to be released and crawling on his bed. When he awakens, he finds that it is only Uncle Jim's daughter Louise bringing him a glass of milk.
Meanwhile, Witawat is browsing through a bookstore. He notices a street vendor who looks familiar. The vendor, who is called Uncle Wan (and was Witawat's friend in his past life), is closing up his jewelry stand when two thugs run past and steal his display case. Witawat intervenes, chases off the thugs, and gets back the display case. In thanks, Uncle Wan gives him a ring. The ring is made of ordinary quartz, but Uncle Wan explains that it was enshrined by a Buddhist master on a night with a full moon in June on the day Buddha was born. Consequently, it has magical powers--it gives longevity, survival through all adversities, and keeps away evil spirits. That night is the full moon. Narudom, in a trance, reads the resurrection incantation anyway.
Days pass. Uncle Jim is becoming concerned about Narudom. He's been acting strange lately; and last night, he brought home a coffin. Uncle Jim decides to call Narudom's girlfriend Chotiros. Chotiros is a bit peeved anyway because Narudom hasn't bothered to telephone her for several days, so she drives over to ask about the coffin. Narudom explains that the coffin was just an idea he has for decorating the club on Halloween. Chotiros demands to see it, so Narudom takes her down into the cellar. Chotiros continues to act bitchy, so Narudom locks her in a cell and leaves her there. When Witawat and Lorna drop by to ask about the coffin, they hear screams and run down to the cellar where they find Chotiros. They carry her upstairs, all the while wondering what has gotten into Narudom. He has definitely changed.
The reason for Narudom's change is because he has set Maekin [Vinai Kraibutr] free. Maekin has recognized Witawat and Rommanee in their new incarnations. Maekin suggests that Narudom replace Chotiros with Louise, but just as Narudom is about to seduce her, Maekin pops into the bedroom and announces that he's got a new idea. He entrances Louise, then bites her arm and sucks the blood. Shortly thereafter, Louise awakens as a vampire. She goes outside and hangs herself from a tree. When an unsuspecting boy comes along and cuts her down, she bites his neck. Looking on, however, is Master Young, a powerful ghost-buster. He uses his magic to stake Louise, but Maekin manages to rescue her. Turning himself into a huge black bird, he grabs her and they fly away. Maekin then allows Louise to feed on him, thus reviving her.
Women have started to die after being seen in Narudom's bar. Witawat and Uncle Jim are concerned. They fear that Narudom has used his resurrection incantation to awaken spirits, and Witawat must steal the book and reverse the spell. Lorna and Nick's parents are throwing a big Halloween party, so while everyone is at their house, Witawat steals Narudom's book. Narudom has spotted Chotiros at the party, and they are in the process of making up when Maekin has a feeling that something is going on back at Narudom's house. Maekin and Narudom go back to check it out, finding that two thieves have broken in. Maekin rips the eyes out of one of the thieves, and Louise gets the other one. Narudom searches for the book, but realizes that it's missing, and it's not in the bag with the stuff that the thieves were trying to loot.
Witawat has the book and decides to practice the ritual to see if it works. He tries it on a dead cat, bringing it back to life, then returning it again to the dead. As Witawat recites the spell on the cat, Maekin also begins to degenerate. Because the moon won't be full until tomorrow, Witawat discontinues the spell, and Maekin returns to normal. Narudom now suspects that Witawat has the book. The next night, as Witawat begins to recite the incantation to return Maekin back to the dead, Narudom runs in and takes the book back. In the tussle that ensues, Witawat's ring touches Narudom and burns him, convincing Witawat that the ring really IS magic after all. Narudom takes the book back to his place and tries to burn it but it won't burn until Maekin spills some of his own blood on it. Then it burns to ashes.
When Witawat and his sister Calle return to their own house, they find it has been ransacked. Calle cleans up a bit, then changes her clothes and announces that she's going out with friends. As Calle leaves, Lorna arrives. Narudom and Maekin, who have been watching Witawat's house, follow Calle while Lorna spends the evening with Witawat, telling him about the dreams she's been having about someone named Bonnie. Witawat thinks they may be memories from Lorna's past life. Concerned for her safety, Witawat gives Lorna the ring to wear. When Calle comes home later and sees Lorna's ring, she shirks away from it in fear.
Narudom has moved into Chotiros's house, after she has again agreed to marry him under one condition--that he move out of Payamek Castle. As Narudom is about to steal a little kiss from his fiancee, Maekin appears. The plans have changed, he says. They must destroy the ring. He then drinks Chotiros's blood while Narudom looks on helplessly. The plan is for Calle, now a vampire, to call Lorna for a lift. Calle directs Lorna to a spot along a lonely country road. Lorna shows up, but no Calle. Instead, three thugs on their motorcycles drive up, circle around Lorna, and grab her purse. They bring the purse to Calle and Louise. Calle orders them to toss the ring in a pond. Then, Calle and Louise set upon the thugs.
Unfortunately, one of the thugs jumps in the water in an attempt to get away. The three vampiresses jump in after him, but he manages to grab the ring before they take his blood. His body is later found by a guy who pawns the ring. The ring is purchased by a lady who drops it in a taxi. The taxi is later taken by Lorna's brother Nick who recognizes the ring and pockets it. As Nick is rushing to return the ring to Witawat, he stumbles, drops it, and a car runs over the ring, breaking it into pieces. Nick returns home to find two police cars and his father, mother, and Witawat very worried. Both Lorna and Calle have disappeared. Nick shows them the ring and tries to repair it. Witawat concludes that Lorna must have left it in a taxi. In actuality, Lorna has been captured by Maekin and is currently tied to a post somewhere at Payamek Castle.
In the meantime, Uncle Jim has consulted with Master Young and learned that his daughter Louise is dead and has become a ghost. Back at Narudom's club, Maekin has set in motion a plan to offer free drinks for the rest of a person's life if s/he was born during a full moon. When the winners go to collect their prize, they are promptly bitten by Maekin. Sucking the blood from persons born during a full moon apparently makes Maekin stronger. It also makes a lot of vampires. The vampires amass and head over to Payamek Castle. At the same time, corpses from the cemeteries start rising and join the vampires.
Witawat and Nick also go to Payamek Castle, fighting their way through the hoards of vampires and zombies. Witawat finds that touching them with his ring will cause them to disintegrate. They finally make it inside to Uncle Jim and Master Young, only to be attacked by Louise, Chotiros, and Calle, all three vampires. In a long battle, the vampires and zombies go against Master Young's magic whip, Witawat's ring, police bullets, and helicopter SWAT teams. Narudom has his arms chopped off by Master Young's shuriken, after which Witawat zaps his old friend with his distegration ring. Maekin and Master Young have at it; Master Young hits Maekin with his magic whip, tosses shuriken's at him, and beheads him, but Maekin keeps coming back.
Some of the zombies break into the room where Lorna is being held. Witawat and Nick leap into the room and untie her as they battle the zombies. The three of them escape into the cellar where Maekin is waiting for them. Maekin tries to drink Witawat's blood. Lorna's bullets go astray, as she is afraid to shoot at Maekin lest she hit Witawat instead. As a last resort, Witawat kicks a sword through Maekin's leg, then drops his ring on the sword just as Lorna fires off a bullet. Maekin disintegrates into a blob of quicksilver-like ooze. Payamek Castle begins to crumble, the zombies and vampires suddenly disappear, and Master Young, Uncle Jim, Witawat, Lorna, and Nick escape safely.
Epilogue: A nice street in Thailand. A bus drives by. From the street gutter emerges a blob of quicksilver-like ooze. [Original synopsis by bj_kuehl]
