As one who's seen the magic

I really enjoyed the overall creativity of this short animation. It's quite a visual spectacle of what one's imagination could create while listening to this story. The visual language of this short as well as the art direction is somewhat of an industry first. First time I've seen an animation strive to be lit like a Noir film. Check out what Mind City Productions is trying to pioneer! Not many people are aware that Orson Welles was a master voice artist as well as a forerunner in shaping today's cinema. "The Hitch Hicker" showcases this Orwellian talent and provides a few twists and turns of it's own that the watcher is not expecting. Camera angles are quite superb. The realism is there as well and very well may give you the chill in your spine you are looking for. The blend of the two pieces is very inspired and it carries through to the end of the short. Defnintely something that will keep your attention long after it's over.

I really enjoyed this style of animation. A creative idea to bring an old radio play with modern day animation. My family enjoyed it as well. There was a constant element of suspense that kept me at the edge of my seat, it kept me guessing till the very end. I found the movement of the characters to be really eerie. I'd like to see more of this kind of animation, not so cartoon like. It would be neat to see some of Orson Welles's other radio plays in animation, like The Shadow. I thought the part at the end was a little long until I realized that the bells chimed 13 times, I mean coins. I don't want to give away to much, and ruin this for anyone else, but you should really take the time to see it.
