- Cliff is to meet Rose under a beach umbrella, but this proves not to be an easy matter, as everyone on the beach is making use of similar protection from the sun. Cliff disturbs folks right and left in searching for his sweetie, and finally has a run in with a grouchy old man, who turns out to be the father of Rose. When Cliff finally does locate his sweetheart, the very first thing she arranges is an introduction to father. They give one look at each other and there is something doing. Cliff beats a hasty retreat, and dons a mustache, but that fails to prove an effective disguise. Then the harassed suitor puts on a female costume, and in this make-up he is a knock-out. So much so that the old man "falls". Dad likes his new girlfriend so well that when she makes a get-away he goes looking for her and gets into trouble with another woman. This starts the crowds after him as a masher. Cliff and his girl make a get-away in a toy auto. Dad is also using a similar means of locomotion, and when he starts chasing Cliff again the pseudo female loses his girl togs, and when last seen Dad and Cliff have collided and are thrown into the sand.—Copyright Description from Library of Congress
