A slight and short offering that is, and was intended to be, a sort of conundrum picture. A convict is set free and a detective sees him acting as though he were about to do something and he wonders and we wonder. We are interested watching the detective get down to the fact that the man is in love and then the picture ends. It is commendably acted by William Stowell as the convict; Harry Lonsdale, the detective; Adrienne Kroel, the girl, and Joe Hazelton. as the warden. There is a poor policeman in it. The photography is clear. - The Moving Picture World, June 14, 1913
