"Sogno" or "Dream" is an Italian Italian-language short film from 1999, so this one has its 20th anniversary this year and it runs for slightly udner half an hour, although these days 2 decades later, it is probably more likely you will find this "gem" as part of a short film collection that runs for 1.5 hours and not just the one movie we have here. The main reason why it is probably not entirely forgotten is because the introduction here is delivered by Italian film personality Tinto Brass who sits there smoking like a fatter more sleazy version of Don Corleone. Okay enough about him. What follows afterwards is the story of a young blonde woman played by a Ukrainian actress in her early 20s that you will probably never come across again outside of this movie. I would say the first half was utterly weak and I would have given an even lower rating, but the second half was okay I guess all in all, at least delivered as a bit of a guilty pleasure, like why does the waiter/servant wear a uniform, but no pants. Like none at all. The sexual scenes are kept in a way where you still cannot classify this film as porn, as softcore at best if at all, but yeah unless you are really horny, this is more about the comedy than about the erotica I suppose. Even if the comedy is never laugh-out-loud funny. But yeah, it does not wantg to be this way. It is more about goofiness and clumsiness in-between the sex you could say. Some of it works, some of it not so much. Thanks to a slight improvement in the second half, I would not say it is a failure altogether. It even feels slightly sensual at times. But it is also far from being a good film. my suggestion is you watch something else instead.
