Jump, Venus! Jump! Is a piece of cinema that should have been watched by so many...it is one of those films that is neither happy nor sad, but evokes emotions most of us have not labeled. Its style is frank, but its message is real! Keep up the good work, Johnny! So, I think that the film owes most of its success to its clarity. The images are stark, and the hit very fast. Just as moments of our lives do not necessarily have even build ups and denouements, but often slam into us, shocking us with the weight of reality. But just as their is weight, there is also a detachment in the film, a suggestion that it may be representing an echo, a memory, something real but unsolved...
