• Anachronismes: A scene identified by a supertitle as taking place in February of 1940 (where a young soldier plays a song for Edith Piaf in her apartment), a camera briefly shows a magazine on a coffee table. The magazine is "Paris Match," which was not founded for almost another decade (in 1949).
  
  
• Anachronismes: The caption that opens the Édith/Marcel Cerdan portion, which includes his fight, says "1947". Cerdan fought Tony Zale on 21 September 1948.
  
  
• Continuité: When at the real restaurant with Marcel (their first date), the sommelier comes from Marcel's right. After tasting the wine, Marcel looks at his left and tells the waiter that the wine is OK.
  
  

• Erreurs faites par les personnages (éventuellement des erreurs délibérées par les cinéastes): In the scene at the hospital (set in 1960), Piaf says: "I'm 44 years old", indicating that she was born in 1916. So in the first scene (set in 1916) she couldn't be a little girl.
  
  
• Anachronismes: Edith and her entourage are shown driving to California in a 1956 Chevy convertible, but the caption tells us it's 1955.
