A superior production in its entirety
deickemeyer27 July 2018
This is an American feature in three reels and is a superior production in its entirety. M.O. Penn accomplishes some wonderful silent acting in this offering, especially where his conscience drives him mad when he imagines he sees his brother's ghost, whom he had left to perish in the quick sands. Crane Wilbur, William Riley Hatch, Logan Paul and Clare Rea were the other leading characters, and the talent displayed by all is above the standard. The plot is laid in the time of the buccaneers in the 19th century. - The Moving Picture World, May 2, 1914
