Kacey Musgraves, the esteemed Grammy-winning country singer, is celebrating her fifth studio album Deeper Wells with a tour by the same name, which commenced its journey on April 28 in Dublin, Ireland.
Hailing from the heartland of Texas and launching her career in Nashville in 2013, Musgraves made an indelible mark with her major-label debut album, Same Trailer Different Park, which garnered a Grammy Award for Best Country Album. What distinguishes Musgraves within the world of country music is her whimsical playfulness and tongue-in-cheek flamboyance.
When Musgraves burst onto the scene with her album Same Trailer, Different Park, she married a country tone with progressive lyrics, unafraid to delve into topics such as recreational drug use and casual encounters.
As Musgraves embarks on her Deeper Wells World Tour, she continues to redefine the boundaries of country music as an unapologetic trailblazer.

Starting Wednesday, Prime members in the U.S. will be able to sign up for Viaplay for $5.99 per month (with a seven-day free trial available for eligible customers) through Prime Video Channels.
In February, Viaplay shut down its own app and direct-to-consumer streaming service in the U.S. and Canada, and the company has now focused its international distribution strategy in building growth via partnerships. Death has never been an obstacle that major franchises have failed to overcome when there’s money to be made, but as a series that was built on big ideas, albeit ones that weren’t always pulled off successfully, fans will be expecting The Matrix 4 to deliver a solid explanation as to why Keanu Reeves’ Neo has returned from the dead nearly 20 years after he made the ultimate sacrifice to win the war against the machines in Revolutions.
A handful of cast members from the original trilogy will be returning, but as the leading man and focus of the overarching narrative, it’ll be Neo’s resurrection that drives the plot in whatever direction it ends up heading, with Reeves being vague about the film so far and only confirming that The Matrix 4 will be a beautiful love story set after the events of the first three installments.

Audiences had never seen anything like The Matrix before when it first hit theaters in 1999, and while the Wachowskis had drawn their inspiration from all corners of culture and theology, they put a unique twist on some familiar tropes to deliver one of the most influential blockbusters ever made, loaded with jaw-dropping action and cutting edge visual effects.
Of course, by the time back-to-back sequels Reloaded and Revolutions arrived in 2003, we’d already witnessed a thousand pale imitators that had seen the groundbreaking elements of the first installment reduced to parody, with bullet time an almost ubiquitous presence in the action genre, while the overwhelming majority of characters sported the leather and sunglasses combination that had made Neo, Trinity and Morpheus look so effortlessly cool.
The decision to have all of the major players in The Matrix wear shades was largely believed to be little more than an aesthetic one,...

A History of Violins: Hoss at a Loss in Weisse’s Careful Character Study
Actor Ina Weisse returns to the director’s chair for the first time since 2008’s The Architect with a narrative equally entrenched in the career of its protagonist in The Audition. Riding high on a superb central performance from Nina Hoss (who gives an equally strong turn in the problematic Pelican Blood), Weisse returns to work with co-scribe Daphne Charizani to craft a stellar character study which plays like a carefully moderated musical arrangement, equal parts subtle drama and high anxiety. A portrait of obsessive alliances and psychological projections on the part of its heroine, whose championing of an introverted student awaken desires she’s been unwisely keeping at bay, Weisse spins her film into darker than expected territories favoring a character study which moves to primal depths in its significant silences.…

NEW YORK -- In the first-ever promotion encouraging viewers to see day-and-date releases in theaters, 2929 Entertainment is offering a free film score, deleted scenes, online production notes and film stills to moviegoers who buy tickets to HDNet Films' The Architect on MovieTickets.com.
"This is the first of 10 or more (promotions) in the next 12 months that will include this type of value add," said Mark Cuban, co-owner of 2929 with Todd Wagner. "We will continue to look for additional digital products we can offer as a reward for those who watch the movie in a theater."
At the site, ticket buyers can download the score written and performed by Marcelo Zarvos (The Good Shepherd) via a package of MP3s. The deleted scenes on the site also will be featured on the film's DVD, coming to stores Dec. 1, the same day the film appears at 2929's Landmark Theatres in select cities.
Cuban would not reveal terms of the deal with the Web site, but said, "We have worked with them for a while, and they were very open to the deal."...
