Light on substance but freakily creepy
Sitting on a beach in a cold morning a man observes a black bag wash up on the shore. He goes to it to find what is insides only to discover that the bag is a body bag from a morgue and still has a body inside.
This short film is one that hits fast and then is over so I can't say too much about it without spoiling it. The plot is simple but doesn't make any sense or go anywhere. It sets up one creepy moment that is chilling and weird without actually being that strong. After this it has nowhere to go but retains the same rather creepy air to it (mainly thanks to the breathing sound effects) but it just stops rather than delivers a strong ending. The lack of substance was a real problem but it is weird enough and creepy enough to do the business in a punchy way, while Burrill's direction is pretty good but I don't think he did much to earn the "writer" credit.
