This film presents itself as edgy and revolutionary, but at its core it's just a moderately fun and forgettable romantic comedy. The main problem is that there's not much biting satire or clear political insight. Instead we get plenty of childish jokes about penises.
The protagonists are angry about rampant sexism in society, but their anger is mostly expressed through silly pranks and ranting; never do they offer any kind of clear, original thoughts on politics or gender roles in society. Nevertheless, the two stars (Diaz and Vicius) are charming, even if their romance feels forced and clichéd, and there are some moments of fun with the cast of colorful main characters. The outrageous ending, however, nearly obliterates the script with all its obvious plot holes.
Ultimately, IBTC's actors and rock 'n' roll aesthetic give it some appeal, but its flimsy plot and pretenses about being political ruin a lot of the fun.
