Sex & Nudity

- No nudity is shown but there is a very mild sex scene. An adult couple make out while in shadow. They lie on a bed together and the scene cuts to black.
- A woman's side is seen in a shower scene for less than a second with no nudity.
Violence & Gore

- Throughout the film, an adult uses verbal, physical, and emotional abuse to manipulate two children. The adult's spouse covers up the abuse.
- A woman chops a fish's head off with a meat cleaver (Mild).
- An adult slaps a child during an argument.
- A child is severely cut by broken glass.
- A man holds a child still while a woman stitches a deep cut on the child's arm. Both adults ignore the child's pained screams and pleas for a hospital. We see a large hooked needle stitching the raw wound. Disturbing sequence.
- An adult frequently injects two children with a sedative.
- An adult poisons a child's food. The child gets dangerously ill (shaking, sweating, stomach trouble).
- An adult slaps a young girl, drags her into an attic, kicks her, and locks her inside.
- A woman sprays oven cleaner on a child's back and proceeds to scrub the skin off of his back with the rough side of the sponge. It causes a large chemical burn. Very disturbing.
- A woman chases after a child while holding a meat cleaver as a weapon.
- A man grabs a young girl and tosses her to the ground. She hits him in the head with a wrench, knocking him out.
- A woman stabs a hypodermic needle filled with a sedative into a man's neck. He passes out.
- A woman tries to kill a young girl with a meat cleaver. They fight, leading to the woman to drop the cleaver.
- A woman attempts to strangle a girl. The girl struggles away and punches her.
- A person falls down a set of metal stairs and lands on concrete. We hear a crunching sound and see the victim's face covered in blood. The person remains motionless a the foot of the stairs, presumably dead.
- An unconscious child is submerged in a bathtub. He is pulled out injured but still alive.
- A woman straddles a young girl and attempts to cut her head off with a meat cleaver.
- A person is shot in the back and killed instantly. We see the dead body onscreen. Very little blood is visible.
Profanity

- The "F word" is used 3 times. "Bitch" is said once. "Shit" is heard a few times. None of the profanity refers to anything sexual.
Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

- Adults drink wine during dinner scenes. No one is ever drunk.
- A person with a needle injects a sedative into other people in multiple scenes. The victims pass out.
- It is implied that a person is poisoning a child with an unknown substance.
Frightening & Intense Scenes

- Several jump scenes.
- The entire film features scenes of child abuse that might disturb some viewers.
- The scene in which a child screams and cries while being held down and given stitches is upsetting. We see the needle and thread enter the skin several times.
- Watching a woman intentionally harm a child (while pretending to be caring for him) by spraying his back with oven cleaner is very disturbing.
- In the climax of the film, a person attempts to cut a child's head off with a meat cleaver.
