Great Film

Joseph Tito stars in the lead role of Sebastian, a Canadian writer, who during his soul-searching twenties finds himself in Italy, the country of his ancestors. Instead of coming across all of the answers in this exotic, yet oddly comforting setting, Sebastian discovers his fears, particularly love, loneliness and unhappiness. He contemplates these threats to life's beauty through three characters he devises in his most recent writing project. Lorenzo (played by Silvio Oddi), a recently divorced painter finds that he has lost the love of his daughter, and is uncertain how to progress in his art while he is plagued by guilt and unhappiness. Next there is the ravishing Stella (Ines Nobili), who attracts one of the most sought after playboys in Italy, and then realizes that she cannot enjoy the lush life unless they have a foundation of love and commitment. Emma (Paola Lorenzoni), single, forty and constantly harassed by her aging family members to settle down, has been unsuccessful in love, and is contemplating solitude. As Sebastian immerses himself in the imaginary world of his characters in order to find out the meaning of their existence, the line between reality and the imagination is crossed. An artistic symphony of dance, drama, soul-searching existential questions, love and the fear of remaining alone are played out breathtakingly on the screen.

I loved it.

The film was incredible. It is a story about a young writer writing a film. He soon begins to lose touch with what is reality and what is fantasy. At the end he releases that you can't run away from your problems and life is worth living. Very surreal, funny and true. I love the dancing and the choices of music. Joseph Tito knows his stuff. The acting was very real and the characters really brought you into the film. It talks about politics, sex, religion, love in a down to earth way. I would like to see more of Joseph Tito's films. I recommend everyone to see it. A definite must see film. Especially when your feeling down. A great film!
