Fabulous fun.

Maria plans to take the painting contained in a Knockwurst to Gruber, unfortunately she is intercepted by General Von Klinkerhoffen's guards. All those with an interest in the painting make efforts to get it back.

It's one of the most off the wall, bonkers, crazy, but funny episodes of all. The show started very, very well, but got better and better, this and the previous season were among the best.

Multiple funny scenes, Rene in the bed with Madame Fanny, Helga and Herr Flick's scenes watching the film, Leclerc's Italian monkey grinder and of course those scenes with Von Klinkerhoffen.

Maria was a fun character, but never really had a great deal to do, this was her best episode, where she was actually put centre stage, she was very good.

Glorious sets, it looks as if more money was made available in the budget.

Man of a thousand faces, every one the same.

It doesn't get much better than this. 19/10
