Trumpeter Biff Elliott is one of those public service clients that Bailey&Spencer take on. Elliott seems on the cusp of a great musical career in jazz. But he's got a paralyzing fear that there's someone out there trying to kill him.
There is. Barry Russo who has history with Elliott and just came out of a 7 year stretch in prison has it in for him. What their issue is you watch the episode for. But Roger Smith has to go to New Orleans for answers and he has to be very persuasive to get them.
There's also Jerry Paris a club owner who wants to exploit Elliott's talent and keep him around for a while and he doesn't care what he has to do to keep him at his jazz club.
This is a good episode and Russo is unforgettable as a man who knows how to keep a grudge.
