The A Team are called in when a group of senior citizens are robbed by a gang in some buggies.

The gang known as the Scorpions are led by Burke (Tony Burton) and they are robbed of their jewellery.

The seniors had been on a trip and had earlier gambled in a casino. A worker in the casino had tipped the gang off.

The A Team confront Burke and his boys but Hannibal has been sloppy. The gang get away as they had grenades.

It seems Burke has been moonlighting with the robberies. Flagg (Anthony James) is the leader of the gang and he plans to kill their former leader, Driscoll. He has been holed up in prison and plans to tell all to the police.

The A Team now have to save Driscoll and deliver the Scorpions to the police.

Some good actors here with Tony Burton being particularly mean.

The story might not make much sense, Murdoch is less annoying and there are some good action set pieces.

Warning: Spoilers
IT'S A DESERT OUT THERE has a decent plot for an A-TEAM episode, albeit a familiar one. The story begins with a bus robbery committed by a bunch of guys riding dune buggies around in the countryside - shades of MAD MAX 2, then. The boys turn up to investigate and soon link a local casino to the crimes, so they set up a decoy. The rest of the story plays out from there. The usual annoying humour spoils things a little, but there's plenty of action and the underrated Tony Burton, of the ROCKY franchise, makes for a great villain.
