Marks the second appearance of Bob Hastings and Eunice Christopher as arguing married couple Charlie and Reba Buehler, their disputes centered on money issues, his willingness to spend on those things important to him, including alcohol, and something proverbially sweet that makes her forgive him until something unexpected sets her off again. They first appeared in Log 131: Reed, the Dicks Have Their Jobs, and We Have Ours (1968). They live at the same address in both situations - 2641 West Van Arden - but the set used as the interior of their house is different between the two.
Just after Malloy orders Haines (the drunk driver) to pull over, both cars pass the famous "Munster House."
Dick is police slang for detective. The name comes from the famous comic detective Dick Tracy.
459 = burglary.
This takes place in December 1968.
