I write this as an old guy who was an adult when this series first aired but never watched even one episode. Decided to try this one because I never got to see enough of Miss Linville back when. This outing was simplistic and poorly done even for that less complicated era. The reviews of A in P on the general IMDB site were very surprising and laudatory. They seemed to be mostly from folks who were children at the time of viewing and who were enchanted by the South Seas atmosphere. OK, that is their thing, but the reality is that this show was universally panned at its debut and with good reason. Mr. McKay was certainly handsome enough but could not act even a little. Look at his career as summarized at IMDB - there is virtually nothing there. And please do not get me wrong, I watched lots of junk TV in the 50s and 60s but never descended down to the level of this sad show.
