The verse spoken by "Roger" (played by Frank Maxwell), "By the pricking of my thumbs / Something wicked this way comes" is a quote from William Shakespeare's play Macbeth. Ray Bradbury, who wrote this 1959 episode of the series, published a full-length novel entitled "Something Wicked This Way Comes" in 1962, which was based on his 1948 short story "The Black Ferris." A 1983 movie was made with the same Ray Bradbury title Something Wicked This Way Comes (1983).
The same set is used for the inside front door and stairway of both Tom and Roger's homes.
