Revenging grand pa
searchanddestroy-11 February 2016
An old man, a sort of street photo catcher, is killed by hoodlums who threw him from a roof. Those hoods take his wallet with his ID inside, go to his flat and search every where. Baretta, who is on the case, is helped by the grand son of the diseased. You have already got that the man was killed because of the pictures he took with his camera. Probably more than illegal activities. That's not an exceptional story, but comfortable to watch, good entertainment and the usual Baretta disguise tricks. I have seen better in Baretta stuff. Directed by Bernie Kowalski, the "house" film maker for this series for which he was the producer.

An old man in a rooftop is photographing a meeting between two men.

One of them is a judge and the other is a gangster. Both know each other and it looks like the judge has fixed things for the gangster in the past.

When the old man is seen, the gangster's henchmen throw the old man off the rooftop and pour alcohol on him. Made him to be a street bum and a drunk.

The old man's grandson is insistent that his grandfather was murdered and it had something to do with the photos he was taken. The old man was a retired cop.

It is another episode with Baretta's streetwise instincts. Despite no evidence he manages to bring the gangster out into the open. There is a nice rooftop scene where Baretta does deduction work a la Sherlock Holmes.

Brock Peters plays the crooked judge who is a childhood friend of the gangster.
