Jethro's ambition is to be a streetcar conductor, and that's not a bad job, considering he's the only one in the family-- according to Uncle Jed -- to reach the 6th grade!
But it all comes down to money, right? Jethro is enrolled in Mrs. Potts (Eleanor Audrey) elite school that will guarantee him a diploma. Mrs. Potts needs more mazuma to keep her school going, and is supposed to get a sizeable endowment. When she learns Jethro is related to some big bucks, well, why not speed up the process, NO questions asked.

There's more. Another animal in the wacky story routine, this time a chimp --pinch hitting for Jethro at the time of graduation??? Somehow it all makes sense. By the way, watch Miss Jane with that little crush on Jethro that pops up every now and then.
Eleanor Audley is particularly funny here, at home playing prim and proper ladies of society. She was quite popular in many sitcoms, and worked steadily for Walt Disney in several animation projects, usually in over the top roles as the mean grandmother.
