The "unit patch" of the military school is an upside-down, Texas 36th Division patch used between WWI and WWII. The "T Patch" came about when the 36th Division was formed in July of 1917 with men from Oklahoma and Texas. The arrowhead design represented Oklahoma and the "T" represented Texas. In 1920, the 45th Division, the Thunderbirds, was formed for Oklahoma unit and the 36th Division became an all Texas unit.
The outside of the military school shown is actually LA High school.
John Hoyt wore brown contact lenses in this episode, though he had blue eyes.
