Midlife... Now What? (#3.18)
ComedyFan20105 November 2015
Warning: Spoilers
This episode deals with affairs. I am pretty sad that David's dad is cheating on Jackie. Would rather have them be the perfect couple. But they made it pretty well. Both how it was found out and also how it was handled. The conversation Kelly had with her mom was very well written and performed. I now want to see how it will work out.

The pa also had fun moments. Like Andrea who was never into it getting interested and people having to tell her to relax.

The story about Jim and his secretary was also made well. They were convincing the audience as well that she is coming on to him, so the end was surprising and amusing. The scene when Jim is reading his book and Steve and Brandon ask him about it was also funny.

Love, attraction, and temptation can be blind!

In "Midlife...Now What"? the finish of the Jim and Dottie supposed fantasy proves one thing surprises await in attractions and temptations. While Cindy and the girls are gone away at the spa for a weekend, Jim(James Eckhouse) spends it working with his beautiful temp Dottie(Paula Trickey) and the time is perfect for romance and an affair. As images and fantasy runs wild. Only in the end when Jim has fought his temptation and lust long enough a surprise happens from Dottie proving that people sometimes read mixed messages on attractions. And this was Paula's final guest stint before her many other sexy and beautiful appearances on series and TV movies hey way to go Paula!

Strange

Warning: Spoilers
I find it extremely strange Mel Silver's character was turned into a slime ball. There was no indication in previous episodes that he was anything except madly in love with jackie. To turn him into a scumbag cheater was a bad move. He could have been a great addition to the cast. Seems to me the writers think only Jim Walsh can be a good dad because he's not from Beverly Hills. Bit of a bias in the writing I never noticed the first time I watched the series way vack when.

I still hate Brenda, always have. I can't watch anything with Doherty in it. Those teeth give me nightmares. Just call her Trigger!!
