This is one of my favourite episodes because it teaches (or should teach) Endora to mind how she treats others. Normally, Endora is footloose and fancy free and Aunt Clara struggles to land somewhere without getting hurt. In this episode, for a brief time, the roles reverse. During Endora's state of incapacity, Darren cannot resist taking advantage of the situation by saying things he would normally dare not. When things go back to normal, will this make Endora a more sympathetic witch, not only to Darren, but to Aunt Clara? Tune in and find out!

Endora loses her zap
gregorycanfield24 December 2021
This episode was the third in a row to feature an appearance by Aunt Clara. Did the producers think Aunt Clara was that vital to the show? Perhaps, Marion Lorne was less expensive than other guest stars would have been. It is interesting, however, that Endora lost her powers, and they got transferred to Aunt Clara. Endora has a presence, even when she is powerless. I loved when she called Darren "Derwood" and then Dennis. The Macedonian Dodo bird thing was pretty silly (and what did that have to do with Clara gaining Endora's powers?) In the scenes with the giant bird, you can see Elizabeth Montgomery trying not to laugh! It was definitely not scripted. I had to notice, since I'm always watching Samantha anyway.
