What a wonderful surprise this Roddy Mc Dowall's performance as a ruthless man black mailing his friend - Arthur Hill, because he would have an affair besides his wife. Mc Dowall is a real monster here, a smiling fiend for whom any audience can feel the least empathy. Impossible. The Hill's character doesn't know how to get rid of the problem Mc Dowall becomes to him. This latest wants Hill to get a job for him, in the company where himself works. Laurence Naismith plays the head manager to whom Hill asks for the job. Hill gets really upset when he sees his "friend" getting too close to his daughter. Hill who doesn't to speak of all this to his wife. For her, Mc Dowall is a family friend. Finally Hill decides to move away, to start a new life from his "friend". But that won't end this way, be sure of it.
A good drama that eventually turns a crime tale. The ending is exquisite. As we could see in AH PRESENTS.
