I am not sure that this story was not heavily inspired by John Sturge's THE GREAT ESCAPE, made four years before; maybe not exactly the same story, but certainly sure the very same atmosphere. It takes place in a WW2 POW camp. A bunch of allied prisoners are in a German camp and, after a failed escape, realize that there is a spy among them. So the suspicion begins among the inmates. They suspect one of them - Martin Milner - because he speaks German in his sleep. Good suspense tale, worth watching indeed. Good characterization where, I just think of it now, some elements also remind me Jacques Becker's LE TROU.
Big escape plan, tunnels, hidden hole in the middle of the camp, many things make you think of THE GREAT ESCAPE.
One more time, Eric Braden plays here a German officer, as he has already done before.
