During the last fight scene, between Harry and Little Joe in the canyon, the roar of a propeller driven aircraft is heard overhead. It almost drowns out the sound of the action and dialogue.
Burton finds a dollar-sign ("$") branding iron in a cabin when he and the Cartwrights go out looking for Harry, a suspect of horse thieving. He shows Little Joe how the "$" can be used to change the Ponderosa's pine-tree brand. Little Joe is surprised, as is Ben in a later scene. This evident lack of the knowledge that the "$" brand can cover the Ponderosa brand is erroneous. In "The Dark Gate" (#2.24), James Coburn's character, Ross Marquette, did the same thing, making a fortune by stealing Ponderosa cattle and covering the brand with a "$" brand, which Adam discovers to his dismay.
