- The Sheriff: You THE Jason McCord?
- Jason McCord: I'm Jason McCord.
- The Sheriff: You mean that fella Duncan trusted you with ten thousand of his money?
- Jason McCord: He knows me.
- Jason McCord: Case is closed.
- Deputy Sheriff: Open it! I SAID OPEN IT!
- Jason McCord: Sure. If you ride 300 miles to Durango with me. That's where the key is!
- Callie Clay: What's wrong, Mr McCord?
- Jason McCord: The street may be empty but there's plenty of people around, with all guns pointed at us.
- Morgan - Outlaw: I worked that bank job but with Frank Ross a month ago. Now he cut me out.
- Taylor - Outlaw: Let's get 'em now.
- Morgan - Outlaw: No. Take it easy. I know where they're going. They're heading for that shack up the valley. We'll just let them get settled and we'll pick 'em off like sitting ducks.
- Deputy Sheriff: He's in more trouble than anybody. When he doesn't show up with that money. Folks might even think he planned the whole thing.
- Callie Clay: What're you going to do with him?
- Deputy Sheriff: Why? What do you care what we do with the coward?
- Callie Clay: He's not a coward! If he hadn't saved me from that drunk, your well-planned hold-up would have ended up in a well-planned jail.
- The Sheriff: Your word's good enough for me, Miss Callie.
- Jason McCord: It shouldn't be. She wasn't a hostage. She was part of the gang!
