Call Me Sir!

The format of Callan is shaken in this episode.

Unwilling to be a field operative. Callan is offered promotion. He is shown Hunter's chair.

This could be a shrewd move or a ludicrous one from the retiring Hunter. Callan is an anti establishment man.

Still Callan could not resist the promotion and Cross is aghast having to speak out the words Sir to the new Hunter.

The story gets lost because it then focuses on Lonely too much.

I would had liked Callan to do some espionage that does not entail his go to burglar. Lonely has been spending his recent free time posing to be an artist's model.

There is a predictable twist. No one would voluntary want to spend their free time painting someone with odour issues.
