According to the account of the hijacking three years ago, the hijacker was able to jump from a 727 just like the famous D.B. Cooper did. However, Cooper was able to do it because he was riding on a plane where the stairway descended underneath the tail, making it possible for him to jump. A 727 has a side door, and anyone attempting to jump from that position would be almost certainly killed. What's more, a million dollars would need a suitcase to hold that much money (making it impossible to hold onto when he jumped), which is probably why the real life Cooper asked for only $200,000.
In Act IV Cannon has to board a plane flying to Panama to catch the killer. Somehow Cannon is able to buy a ticket to Panama without having a passport. He wouldn't be able to board his plane without his passport.
