A Very 1960s Show

A very entertaining episode with many guest stars.

The Q&A has Carol bringing a very nervous Vicki on stage. Then she introduces her real life sister Chrissy in the audience.

There is a funny Jekyll & Hyde sketch. Carol is Mrs Jekyll, William Schallert plays the doctor, the same year he was in the Oscar winning "In The Heat Of The Night". His Mr Hyde is a werewolf. Harvey plays a suitor. Carol takes a drink of the potion and turns into Phyllis Diller!

Diller then gets a solo comedy spot. She has many funny quips about her looks. She says there was a Western TV show based on her skin, called "Rawhide".

Gwen Verdon comes on and does a version of Simon & Garfunkel's "Feelin Groovy".

A Carol and Sis sketch has Chrissy bringing home a Swedish exchange student. It turns out to be a gorgeous blonde that Roger flips for.

Bobbie Gentry is introduced. She does her own song called "Bugs" and then sings a version of "The Look Of Love:"

A funny murder trial sketch is next. Carol is the DA, Harvey the elderly defense attorney, Lyle the defendant and Diller the judge. The judge brings Lyle back to her chambers.

The finale is Carol, Diller, Gentry and Verdon costumed in the Beatles Sgt Pepper uniforms. They sing the title song, Diller does "With A Little Help From My Friends" (the line "I get high" is changed to "I can fly"). Carol and Verdon do "When I'm 64".

Carol sings her theme and the guests sign her book.
