Steve Lawrence And Rock Hudson
Jimmy_the_Gent417 February 2022
A pretty good episode. In the Q&A someone asks if Carol's children want to go into show biz. She says she will wait until they are out of school.

A Tudball and Wiggins sketch has Rock Hudson as Wiggins' new boyfriend. He is crazy about her but she is bored with him, having him stand in the corner.

Steve Lawrence sings "You Took My Heart Away".

There is a funny sketch with Carol and Rock as a married couple who are news anchors. They read the news items but stick in some insults.

Carol, Harvey, Vicki and Tim then do a version of Glenn Miller's 'In The Mood" as clucking chickens.

A good sketch has Harvey and Vicki as a couple who want their friends (Carol and Steve) to be guardians for their kids. The couple start arguing and drinking and there is a good punch line.

A nice musical finale is a salute to Jule Styne set in the 1940s. Harvey, Steve and Rock are sailors on leave. Rock is a shy bookworm with glasses. Harvey and Vicki sing "It's Been A Long Long Time". Steve and Carol do "it's Magic". Rock sings "People" from Funny Girl solo. Carol and Rock do a duet "You Are Woman I Am Man" also from "Funny Girl"

Carol sings her theme, helped by Steve and the guests sign her book.
