Music Filled Show With Rock Hudson and Nancy Walker
Jimmy_the_Gent423 October 2020
The Q&A has someone complimenting Carol on the Southern Family sketches, Carol says they put it in the South because it's fun to do the accents. She also says her favorite game show is "Password".

Carol then introduces a new dance team which turns out to be Rock Hudson and Nancy Walker. They sing a duet "Mine", funny dance moments between the 6'5 Hudson and the barely 5 foot Walker.

Then we get a salute to that year's TV commercials. Harvey spoofs Joe Namath and his famous panty hose ad. Rock and Vicki do a take off on the Parkay ad with the talking tub of margarine.

Harvey gets rare one man spot as a ventriloquist who wants to break up with his dummy.

We get a very long finale with "When My Baby Laughs At Me" a spoof of the Betty Grable/Dan Dailey film "When My Baby Smiles At Me". It is one the best and funniest of the musicals in this series. Rock and Carol are a married couple with a musical act. Rock has a lot of fun with his limited singing and dancing skills. Nancy plays a vamp who lures Rock away with promises of bigger stardom. They get more mileage out of their height differences in some of the funniest scenes. There is some original songs in this that are quite good.

Carol does a PSA for the Heart Fund. She sings her theme and the guests sign her book.
