The bad guys are following Kelly's car in a residential neighborhood. After Burke says, "We'll all take the gas," there's a shot of Kelly's car turning a corner, still on a quiet residential street. She calls Bosley and suddenly she's driving on a busy multi-lane road. When she hangs up, it picks up the earlier shot on the residential street from where it had cut off.
In the episode's initial establishing shot outside the Townsend Agency, Kelly's car is parked in front, between Kris' and Tiffany's cars. When she leaves, however, she is shown walking around a corner where her car is parked by itself.
When Kelly is being chased in her Mustang, there is a shot of her foot touching the brake pedal. Not only is it not a Mustang, but it is a clutch car. Also, when they show the speedometer, it is also not from a Mustang II.
A cop would never be allowed to investigate the killing of his own partner.
In the credits, Sgt. Cates and his son Greg Cates have their last name listed as "Shanks" instead of Cates. The error is corrected in the credits for the show's final episode, Let Our Angel Live (1981).
At the end of the episode, when he stands up from sitting on a curb, Cates uses his arm with a fresh bullet wound to push himself up.
