When Saunders goes out to draw the Germans' fire so Doc can try to get morphine to Mason, the top of the wall next to the machine gunner has no bullet holes. After a couple camera changes, the holes are back. Scenes from the previous firefight, which showed the holes showing up, were reused.
As the squad is walking into the German trap, a close-up of the German machine gun is shown three times. Each time it is the same freeze frame image.
At the beginning, after Saunders breaks up the argument and the men go to get ready for patrol, the camera closes in on a statue of the Virgin Mary and the camera's shadow is seen coming toward her right shoulder.
When Saunders radios in to Hanley, studio lights are reflected on each of their radio handsets.
Saunders tells Laslo he has five men to think of, not just one. He actually has six men with him, not counting Mason, who is pinned down.
