According to the other review, this is some of Kevin Allen's best work.Unfortunately, Kevin Allen isn't even in it.Keith Allen is and considering most of his work is trash, this is definitely a highlight of his career. It's your typical Comic Strip episode with lots of bizarre dark comedy, things that don't make sense and an ending that you never saw coming.Gino is running from the police and gets into some crazy situations along the way.Although they never really explain why he is running(later they imply he robbed someone or something), everything he does while running gets exaggerated, making him look like an insane murderer who would do anything to avoid being captured.Like I said before, not bad for a Keith Allen episode.

Gino

based on a true story, Gino: full story and pictures tells the story of a youngish fugitive from the Law who picks up a young woman (Saunders) along the way in a stolen taxi and they embark on a Bonny and Clydesque crime odyssey but without quite so much murder. pacey, extremely funny, vintage comic strip "road movie", featuring career highs for Kevin Allen and Jennifer Saunders. Rik Mayall is excellent as embittered disabled man and Dawn French joyous as his cheerfully psychotic wife. Robbie Coltrane excels as max, a role repeated later in South Atlantic Raiders. Some touching moments too, and not to be forgotten are the performances of Ade Edmondson and Lionel Jeffries.
