- Tony attempts to protect an informant from a mysterious hit man, while Stan Kelly enjoys a romantic encounter with a beautiful new Eastbridge arrival.
- After Brian Covelle escapes during an undercover bust of an arms smuggling deal, his partners, Ted Warren and Dave Ragsdale, are offered a chance to cooperate in securing his arrest. Although they are quickly bailed out by a noted mob lawyer, after a hit man kills Ragsdale, Warren agrees to cooperate in exchange for protection. Meanwhile, when Tony is desperate to come up with an act for an annual talent show, Rachel suggests that he sing a song.
When Warren implicates local businessman John Malzone in the arms deal, Malzone is followed to a secret meeting and arrested, but Covelle again manages to escape. An accidental encounter at the supermarket gets Stan a date with Lisa, an attractive newcomer to Eastbridge. During a romantic picnic, he accepts Lisa's invitation to join her for dinner if he can find someone to relieve him early from protecting Warren. Meanwhile, Covelle admits to being a federal undercover agent but, refusing to cooperate with a local investigation, asks Tony to stay clear of the case.
When Stan calls to tell her he is coming for dinner, Lisa suddenly claims she is moving to Ohio and must break their date. Then, using Stan's phone call to locate Warren's safe house, Lisa prepares to finish the pair of hits she started with Ragsdale. However, when a shoe found at the scene indicates that Ragsdale's killer is much smaller than originally thought, and noting the mysterious circumstances behind her cancelling Stan's date, Tony concludes Lisa is the killer pursuing Warren. Getting Warren to safety, Tony and Stan are on hand to arrest Lisa before she can complete her deadly assignment. Finally, Rachel saves Tony's act after he gets stage fright and the pair wins the talent show.
