Political episode about a deliberate bus crash (no brakes) that leaves a Mexican girl in critical condition, the niece of one of titular Burt Reynolds' co-stars, and the preaching is abundant but not very annoying, which can prove that this is a pretty good series being that even overly-written episodes are okay, and Burt Reynolds actually shows some emotion, intensity, in an otherwise very toned-down leading performance with none of the edge of his Deliverance breakthrough or the breeziness later on. He just kind of goes around with a hawklike expression, asks questions, and moves on, in a gumshoe fashion.
